LOOKIN OUT MY BACK DOOR

I have no idea why but at least once a day when I'm riding I get CCR's "lookin out my back door" stuck in my head.  I think these photo's might help explain why.  All of these are from while I was workin on either Island Lake or Powder Cowboy's terrain.

For those that know me and my photo habit's I have somehow switched from sepia vignette's to excessively contrasty black and whites.

Body Painting

Body Painting

Last night the girls from Luscious Beats http://www.myspace.com/m3lusciousbeats out of Nelson BC came to town and organized a body painting competition at the Central Hotel.  My part of project was to make some photo's of the girls, so my assistant Chris and I had about ten minutes to clear half a restaurant's tables, set up a backdrop, some lights and be shoot ready.  The girls took about 5-6 hours to paint and looked pretty amazing when they were done.

These girls came from everywhere between Nelson and Calgary for this

Off to get supplies

Fernie to Calgary
and back

First stop - Crowsnest Pass for cheap gas.   Sad but true that i think 91 cents/litre is cheap gas.

JL as his normal smiling self en-route with a broken jaw to go see his gramma

This is a solid attempt at "The Karate Kid" maneuver on a small pole.

as it turns out the pole was plastic and sucked to jump on,  about an hour after he still complained his boys hurt.

First pit stop was at mona lisa's craft store in calgary,  this truck was in the alley beside it.

I'm pretty stoked on this lil series.

After dropping JL off at the airport and an uncomfortable experience at Ikea to get some frames I head for home.  Low thick fog stuck low, but the sun kinda shone through from above.
