Finally picked a scanner up,  so now all the random bits of film are usable to me.

These first bunch of shots are from my grandfathers old camera, she's from the 40's and is supposed to take 116 film, and guess what,  I dont have any 116 film.   Sooo some thinking and a few shims and its loaded with some 120(normal medium format) film.   All the craziness on these images is from the camera not running the film through properly, it wrinkled and warped it all over,  and it looks like the bellows might have a hole or two also which I think really adds to the charm

These shots were shot on these old boxes.  The camera on the left is a Holga, which other than any Nikon is probably the worst camera ever invented and I love it.  The camera on the right is an old Kodak Brownie.

An old shot of Bryce and Jack with some 35mm film hacked into my Holga, so no those are not photoshop film borders.

Fisheye Fun

My friend Kelsey came to visit me before I finished school and hooked me up with this little gem,  such a fun toy, you cant at all see whats in the frame,  its just point click and hope.

So ya,  THE RECESSION IS OVER,  remember that,  write it down if you have to.

The lake in the background top right, was my favourite for a while believe it or not.  Its really just a tailings pond for an old mine, but ya somehow loved it.

Cumberland

Keona

Cathedral Grove, with all the old Cedars near Port Alberni, if you look while your driving through there are some small roads that go through there,  this was one of em,  eating lunch away from all the tourists

I have never met anyone more stoked on random beach finds as Erica.  True Story

Island View beach between Sydney and Victoria

Every loves a photo of the Burmis Tree,  its the tree you stop and look at in the Crowsnest Pass.  There is actually a law passed here that states you need at least one stereotypical landscape photo of that tree hung in your house.

AAAAAnd last but never the least,  I went fishing at some point,  here are two photos of water for all you Interior people that never get this priviledge.

This is pointed back towards the Queen Charlottes,  it'd be a long swim.

Home from the last tour long enough to have a nap and do my laundry I headed to Calgary.  Before desperately trying to find a gas station I looked up and saw this.   Gotta love those Alberta skies.

Drivin around with Leah, we stopped when my truck hit 4000 kms since I left home,  and that happened to be some new subdivision and a new strip mall.  so I wandered around and found this grey lil setup of rectangles.

Homeward from Calgary I took some random roads to see what is out there,  and found this.  I honestly have no idea whats goin on here, maybe the start of a airplane musuem or some sort of altar for the old plane god,   but it was neat to stumble across a field of planes that have long since died.

On the Road

Last week in Victoria, wandering around killing time and looking for random camera bits. I met up with these kids contendly playing the banjo and chillin.

And for something completely different,  I was asked to put some images together for an Italian Restaurant that is opening here.   These are snippets from a parkade in vic,  yes they are different shots not just a different colour.  We'll see if they want em.

The sweet part about the city is deer let you walk up close enough to kick them.  Remembering the last time I tried to kick an animal I figured that kicking a bear was a bad idea so maybe I shouldnt kick the deer either.  Anyways,  this is about as wildlife as I get.   no crop

When my truck fell apart I got to hang out at a this sweet mechanic's place while he was fixing my truck on a sunday afternoon.  So naturally I wander and took some pictures and this triptych floats to the top of the pile

After my truck had its broken leg put back together I went to cumberland and made lil Miho come wandering through wet cow sh$t with me stalking tree's.  this is on a dairy farm in courtenay,  and you shoulda seen the farmers face when I asked if I could go shoot his tree.  halarious.    apparently this one was hit by lightning a few years ago.
Papa Don (some people call him Jesse Savage) and his oldest Keona,  shot some Holga BW shots when we were out too,  hopefully they turn out.

Just to prove I was actually at the coast.

I had to run after this to actually make the ferry,  hmmm,  how I miss the ferry,  maybe I'll move back to a land where you actually need to plan to go anywhere.  maybe not

Took the #7 (I think) from Van to Hope and found this lil gem
